Keene, N.H. (May 7, 2025) — UMass Boston dropped its opening game of the Little East Conference (LEC) Tournament, falling 7-0 to Rhode Island College (RIC) on Wednesday afternoon.

The Anchormen broke through in the third inning and never looked back. Despite getting runners on base and solid efforts at the plate from Mike Meagher (Marston's Mills, Mass.) and Bostyn Burris (Highland Village, Texas), the Beacons couldn't break through against RIC's Terry Murray.
UMass Boston will look to keep its tournament hopes alive Thursday morning when they face UMass Dartmouth at 9 a.m. The Corsairs are also seeking a rebound after falling to Keene State, 12-1.
