Baseball Lands Eight on LEC All-Conference Teams; Pagano Named Rookie of the Year

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (May 14, 2025) – The Little East Conference announced eight Beacons to the 2025 LEC All-Conference Teams, including the 2025 LEC Rookie of the Year Jonny Pagano (Attleboro, Mass.) and two All-LEC First Team pitchers Ross Dexter (Milton, Mass.) and Thomas Kierce (Cohasset, Mass.).

Max Moss (Manhattan, N.Y.) was the sole UMass Boston representative among the All-LEC Second Team honorees, while the Third Team featured four Beacons: Justin Gouveia (Dartmouth, Mass.), Mike Meagher (Marston's Mills, Mass.), Nick Farnacci (Farmingdale, N.Y.), and Richard Williams (Georgetown, Mass.), rounding out a successful 2025 campaign.

Jonny Pagano – LEC Rookie of the Year
Pagano is the second straight Beacon to earn Rookie of the Year honors, following Brandon Gaer in 2024. In eight starts and two relief appearances, the first-year right-hander posted a 3-3 record with a 5.71 ERA over 34.2 innings pitched, striking out 36 batters and holding opponents to a .279 batting average. His strikeout total ranked fourth on a Beacons staff led by All-LEC selections Dexter, Kierce, and Moss. The standout first-year burst into the fray with a three-inning no-hit shutout start against Worcester Polytechnic Institute on March 1.

Ross Dexter – All-LEC First Team – Pitcher
Dexter finishes his Beacon career ranked third all-time in strikeouts with 209. This season, he led the LEC with 64 punchouts and held opponents to a .226 average in 59.1 innings across 12 appearances and 11 starts. He posted a 4-2 record with a 4.10 ERA and 21 strikeouts looking, second-most in the league.

Thomas Kierce – All-LEC First Team – Relief Pitcher
Kierce emerged as one of the conference's premier bullpen arms in 2025. He made 16 appearances, logging 28.2 innings with a 2.20 ERA, 4-1 record, and four saves—second-most in the LEC. He allowed just eight earned runs and 26 hits while facing 111 batters.

Max Moss – All-LEC Second Team – Pitcher
Moss earns All-LEC Second Team honors for the second year in a row. The graduate made 12 appearances (11 starts), throwing 55.1 innings with a 4.88 ERA and 41 strikeouts. Opponents batted .298 against him, and he finishes his career as one of the team's most consistent arms.

Mike Meagher – All-LEC Third Team – Catcher
Meagher started 38 of 39 games behind the plate, leading the team with 47 hits. He batted .367 with a .991 OPS, adding seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 25 RBIs. The senior also went a perfect 6-for-6 on stolen base attempts and struck out only seven times all season.

Nick Farnacci – All-LEC Third Team – Second Base
Farnacci played in 42 games, starting 40, and posted a .271 average with 35 hits, four doubles, one triple, and a home run for 21 RBIs as a critical piece of the Beacons' postseason run. On the basepaths, he was among the conference's best, going 20-for-23 in stolen base attempts.

Justin Gouveia – All-LEC Third Team – Outfield
Gouveia followed up his 2024 First Team selection with another strong year. In 32 games (31 starts), he hit .307 with 39 hits, seven doubles, two triples, a homer, and 21 RBIs. He added 22 walks and went 15-for-17 in steals.

Richard Williams – All-LEC Third Team – Designated Hitter
In his first season with the Beacons, Williams made an instant impact. He appeared in 37 games (31 starts), batting .325 with 39 hits, five doubles, one triple, one home run, and 28 RBIs—the third-most on the team.
