With the win, the Beacons (7-7 overall, 5-2 LEC) now turn their focus to a familiar opponent—Bridgewater State University—for a high-stakes rematch in the next round.

A Rivalry Renewed
The Beacons and Bears have plenty of postseason history. Bridgewater State ended UMass Boston's tournament run last year with a t 5-0 semifinal win. More recently, the Bears defeated the Beacons 8-1 on April 25 to close out the regular season.
UMass Boston last topped Bridgewater State during the 2021–22 season, recording a 9-0 sweep on the road. The Beacons will look to recapture that form as they seek redemption and a spot in the LEC championship match.
