Boston, MA (April 3, 2025) — The UMass Boston men's tennis team is set to travel to take on the Curry College Cadets on Friday, April 4 at 3:30pm, in Boston, MA. 

The Basics

Series History 

The Beacons and Colonels last met on April 2, 2024, with UMass Boston securing a 7-2 victory. Current Sophomore Shrenith Saravana Rakshana (Bengaluru, India) won his #5 singles match two sets to one to help propel the Beacons to a win. 

Beacons 

• The Beacons are coming off a 6-3 victory over Western Connecticut State University on March 30, 2025, in their Little East Conference opener. Freshman Dominik Dwyer (Dedham, Mass.) helped lead the team with a win at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-3 and 6-4 and contributed to an 8-7(8-6) doubles victory. With his performance Dwyer earned his first career LEC Rookie of the Week honors. 

• Freshman Victor Xu (Bolton, Mass.) has won both of his singles matches to start this spring season. 

Colonels 

• The Colonels are amid an 8-game losing streak. 

•  Junior Jake Perrotte leads the team with 10 singles wins.
