How it Happened:

-
The Beacons doubled their lead in the seventh when Nick Farnacci (Farmingdale, N.Y.) singled, stole second, advanced on a passed ball, and scored on an RBI single by Justin Gouveia (Dartmouth, Mass.).
-
In the eighth, Jacob Levine (Easton, Mass.) and Farnacci each added RBIs to make it 4-0. Levine's double was his eighth of the season.
-
UMass Boston sealed the win with a five-run ninth inning on five hits, highlighted by a two-run RBI single from Breon Parker (Springfield, Mass.), RBI singles from Gouveia and Bostyn Burris (Highland Village, Tex.), and a wild pitch that allowed Gouveia to score the ninth run.
By the Numbers:

Ten different Beacons recorded hits, with Gouveia, Richard Williams (Georgetown, Mass.), Miles, and Farnacci each notching two.
