Danbury, CT (Mar. 29, 2025) — The UMass Boston men's tennis team secured a 5-4 victory over the WestConn Wolves in their Little East Conference (LEC) opener. 

Doubles 
The Beacons' top doubles pairing of Dominik Dwyer and Victor Xu earned the team's only win in doubles, defeating Aidan Burke and Kevin Tenesaca 8-7 (8-6) in a thrilling match. 
Maxwell Dill and Shrenith Saravana Rakshana came close in the second spot, but fell short in a tiebreaker, losing 12-10. 

Singles 
UMass Boston bounced back in singles, winning four of the six matches played. 

• Dwyer, at No. 1, defeated Tenesaca 6-3, 6-4. 

• Xu, at No. 2, earned a clutch win over Burke 7-6, 6-3 (TB: 7-5). 

• Dill dominated Nick Peschier 6-1, 6-2 in the third spot. 

• Joseph Malone sealed the win for the Beacons, taking his match 6-3, 6-4.
