Boston, MA (Feb. 8, 2025) --- The UMass Boston men's ice hockey team led early but didn't end with the win, falling to the Babson College Beavers 4-2. 

How it Happened 

The Beacons were the first to get on the board after Kolye Bankauskas, assisted by Michael Krupinski and Chris Reppman, directed the puck into the back of the net. Krupinski, who was recently named as a semifinalist for the 24th Annual Joe Concannon Award, scored in the second on the Beacons powerplay, this time assisted by Bankauskas and Michael Lynch. However, despite a number of dangerous chances late in the game, that would be the last goal the Beacons would score. 

Inside the Box Score 

• The Beacons and Beavers had nearly the same number of chances in the 2nd and 3rd period with the Beacons registering 24 shots on target and the Beavers 25.  

• Tyler Bost made a total of 39 saves in the loss with his most coming during the first frame when he made 18 saves.

The Beacons get back on the road next weekend when they take on Albertus Magnus College for two.
