Five Different Beacons Score in Win over Falcons

New Haven, CT (Feb 15, 2025) --- Five different Beacons got on the board en route to a 5-3 win over the Falcons of Albertus Magnus Saturday night.

How it Happened

The Falcons capitalized on the first powerplay of the game when Caden Pattison, assisted by Sam Anderson, beat Tyler Bosch for the first goal. Senior captain, Kolye Bankauskas drew the two teams even less than a minute later scoring his fourth goal in his last five games. Sophomore defenseman, Chris Merryman would give the Beacons the lead before the end of the first when he found himself in front of an open net with the puck after a rebounded shot.

The Falcons would capitalize two more times on the powerplay in the second period of action, both goals coming from the stick of Zane Kindrachuk.

Down 3-2 to start the third frame, Jakob Teply was the first of the Beacons to respond when he scored an unassisted goal at the 11:38 mark, beating Matt Lenz near post. In the final minute of play, Jack Mortson would net the game winner redirecting the shot by Evan Googins. With the goalie pulled for Albertus Magnis, Jude Kurtas rocketed a shot from the opposite end of the ice to stop the Falcons in their tracks, securing the Beacons victory.
