Boston, MA (Oct. 4, 2025) — The UMass Boston Beacons men's soccer team mounted a late push but fell short, losing 2-1 to the Western Connecticut State University Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Cam Ramos netted his first career goal in the 74th minute, assisted by Amir Lahkiky, trimming the deficit to one. However, the Beacons couldn't find the equalizer before time expired.
Western Connecticut opened the scoring just before halftime and extended their lead in the 73rd minute on a goal by Maximus Vigo.
UMass Boston outshot the Wolves 12-8 overall, but Western Connecticut held a slight edge in shots on goal, 5-4. Beacons goalkeeper Nolan McKenna recorded two saves in the match.
