Boston, MA (Oct. 25, 2025) — The UMass Boston Beacons volleyball team swept the Vermont State University Castleton Spartans in dominant fashion Saturday afternoon, 3–0. 

UMass Boston came out strong, scoring the first five points of the opening set and never looked back, cruising to a 25–9 victory. Castleton kept things closer in the second set, but the Beacons held firm for a 25–21 win before closing out the match decisively with a 25–10 third-set triumph to secure the Little East Conference victory. 

Paige Coulson and Mary Denny led the Beacons offense with 10 kills apiece. Setter Audrey Cofield continued her climb toward the 1,000-assist milestone, dishing out 28 assists and adding a match-high seven service aces. Defensively, Mary Matthews anchored the team with 22 digs, while Denny also led the team at the net with three block assists.
