Northfield, VT (Jan. 11, 2025) --- The UMass Boston Beacons scored late, but were unable to find the equalizer, falling to the Cadets of Norwich University 3-1 Saturday afternoon. 

How it Happened 

The Cadets scored in each frame, holding the 2-0 advantage going into the third. Jakob Teply, assisted by Tyler Drummond, would get the Beacons on the board, but a late push wasn't enough as the Cadets added an empty net goal to cement the victory. 

Inside the Box Score 

• The Beacons outshot the Cadets 26-25, with Tyler Bost making 22 saves. 

• Just like with shots on frame, the Beacons and Cadets were about even on the faceoffs with Norwich holding the advantage by one, 35-34. 

• Jack Mortson went 12-7 at the faceoff and also got in front of two shots.
