Dudley, MA (Sep. 30, 2024) --- The UMass Boston women's tennis team fell to Nichols College 6-1 in non-conference action to start the week. 

Doubles 

The pairing of Ayonna Stuppard and Elena Albano led the way in #2 Doubles taking down Charis Vogler and Cora Brosch of Nichols 6-2. Zainab Patel and Lydia Chan kept their match close in #1 Doubles, but ultimately fell to Kamora Helton and Pamela Gonzalez 6-4. 

Singles 

Singles saw a lot of close matches with two of the matches going to three. Elena Albano got the lone victory for the Beacons in singles over Cora Brosch 6-3, 6-4 in the four spot. Patel and Shreya Saravana Rakshana pushed their games to the three but couldn't come away victorious for the Beacons. 

Next Up 

The Beacons return to LEC action on Wednesday when they travel to Gorham, Maine to face the University of Southern Maine at 3:30pm.
