Boston, MA (Sep. 21, 2024) --- The UMass Boston women's tennis team will travel to Salem, Massachusetts Saturday for a 1pm match against the Salem State University Vikings.

Beacons
The Beacons played fellow LEC opponent, Plymouth State on Saturday, September 7th to start LEC play with a 7-2 win. From there they competed at Curry College and Albertus Magnus College where they won both matches.
UMass Boston was the unanimous favorite in the 2024 LEC Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll. In the team's last match versus Albertus Magnus College, the Beacons didn't concede a single point coming home with the 7-0 victory.
Vikings
The Vikings of Salem State were chosen to finish 7th in the LEC Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll. Their LEC victory came in their last match to Western Connecticut 5-4. In that meeting Salem swept the three doubles matches. Madison Sartori and Kenzie McLaren had the largest margin of victory over Diana Rebelo and Melanie Grasso in #1 Doubles, 8-1. In singles, Sartori saw success in #1 singles defeating Melanie Grasso 6-2, 6-4.
