New York, NY (August 30, 2024) -- The Beacons of UMass Boston dropped their first game of the 2024 season vs the no. 6 ranked Violets of New York University. The Beacs held tough but couldn't take a set on the Violets.

Dylan Wertzberger led the Beacs with 6 kills while Amelia Devlin led in assists with 11.  

Both Jade Hernandez and Addie Blomgren registered 2 blocks on the night.  

Defensively, Toni Guerra and Paige Coulson each had 8 digs.
