BOSTON, MA (August 30, 2024) -- The Beacons kicked off the 2024 season with a 2-0 win over the Pioneers of Smith College.  

UMass Boston started off firing on all cylinders, scoring twice in just over 10 minutes, and remained dominant throughout much of the match.  

Inside the Box Score 

Caileigh Sullivan got the scoring started with a goal off a corner kick 6:32 into the game. At 10:08 Kathryn Brown doubled the score after dribbling 35 yards past several defenders and slotted the ball past the keeper with the outside of her right foot.  

The Pioneers best chance came with 15 minutes remaining in the game, but Isabella O'Connell was up for the task. The senior keeper finished the game with 5 saves in the 2nd half.
