New London, CT --- Georgia Bonney converted a late game penalty kick to give the Beacons the win and improve to 2-0 on the season. In the 89th minute Daniella Celotto was taken down in the box drawing the crucial penalty. Bonney then calmly stepped up and hit the upper left corner of the net giving the Beacs the goal. Emily Scharnitzky of Coast Guard guessed the side correctly, but there was nothing the keeper could do to stop the shot that connected.

Coaches Corner
"It was a hard-fought game by both sides. With some of our starters unavailable for today's game, we had a lot of players step up and play new positions. It really was a complete team win!"
