BOSTON, MA (December 7th, 2024) Despite their offensive flurry from the previous evening, the Beacons of UMass Boston were unable to take the second game of the series over the Thoroughbreds of Skidmore College, ultimately falling 4-0.

How It Happened

• Following a Saturday night victory for the Beacon's the team had their work cut out for them in the second of back-to-back matches against Skidmore College's Thoroughbreds. Skidmore got on the board in the first on the powerplay. 
• Halfway through the first period and down a goal, the Beacon's looked to go on the offensive. After several shot attempts and won faceoffs the opening period came to a close with UMass down by 1.
• The second period went by as fast as it came. Both sides sped up and down the ice as they were racing to find the back of their opponent's net. Skidmore scored after 18 minutes of action, pulling the visitors ahead 2-0.
• UMass controlled the puck to start the third period but couldn't find the result, ultimately falling 4-0.

The Beacons have a long layoff before they host the 59^th Annual Codfish Bowl on January 3^rd and 4^th.
