BOSTON, MA (November 22nd, 2024) This evening's game was a thriller in the ice arena at the Clark Athletics Center. UMass Boston and Vermont State University (VTSU) of Castleton had a back and forth contest ending in a victory for the Beacon's with a final score of 3-2.

How  It Happened

• The Spartans of VTSU got on the board early in the first period, but the Beacon's rallied together near the end of the period. Resulting in a score of 1-1 after the initial 20 minutes of play.
• Castleton started hot in the second period with a goal in the opening seconds. UMass took their time with their retaliation coming with 5 minutes remaining in the second period. Game tied 2-2 heading into the final 20 minutes of play.
• The third period was hard fought with both sides seeing their fair share of scoring opportunities. With 00:45 seconds of regulation left, Emily Hansen (Lake Villa, IL.) scored the game winning goal for the Beacon's.

 
Who's Next?

• The Clark Athletic Center will prepare for a second double header as the Beacon's will host the Spartans for another matchup. The afternoon puck drop takes place at 1:00 pm in Boston.
