Boston, MA (Nov. 1, 2024) --- The Beacons of UMass Boston celebrated senior day with a 1-0 win over Eastern Connecticut State to close out the regular season and clinch 2nd place in the LEC standings, giving the Beacons a bye in the first round.
 

The Basics 

Beacons: 11-3-5 (Overall), 6-1-1 (LEC) 

Warriors: 6-9-2 (Overall), 3-3-2 (LEC) 

How it Happened 

The Beacons had the majority of dangerous chances in the first, but the score remained deadlocked at the half. About 20 minutes into the second half, Devan Booth was taken down inside the box. Graduate student, Caileigh Sullivan stepped up to the spot and slotted it into the bottom right corner to put the Beacons on top and ultimately give them the crucial LEC win. 

Isabella O'Connell made 7 saves to secure the shutout and win.
