Milton, MA (Nov. 1, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons fell in their season opener 3-1 to Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts Friday night.

How it Happened 

The Colonels of Curry College struck first capitalizing on the power play at 16:36 in the first. Danielle Reid made it 2-0 and would score the eventual game winner in the second. The third period would see Margot Oxman put the Colonels up by 3 before the Beacons scored their first of the season off the stick of Kristen Briggs, assisted by Margeaux Butters and Lily Hayes. 

Leah Bosch made a total of 31 saves for the Beacons while Sarah Kerr made 21 for Curry.
