Salem, MA (Nov. 16, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons defeated the Vikings of Salem State 1-0 to complete the weekend sweep and remain undefeated in conference play. 

Gianna Skrelja scored her first goal of the season, and third of her career, in what would be the game winner Saturday. The power play goal came at the 4:20 mark of the 2nd period, Liz Kramp and Jenna Fitzsimons recorded the assists. Ginny Curello made 13 saves in the win for the Beacs. The Beacons dominated on faceoffs winning 37 of the 56 total. 

Both teams found themselves on the power play four times, with the Beacons shutting the Vikings down and the Beacons converting 1 of 4.

The Beacons return home to the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink on November 22nd and 23rd when they take on Vermont State University Castleton. Puck drop is scheduled for 4pm on Friday and 1pm Saturday.
