Henniker, NH (Nov. 9, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons finished the weekend series sweep over New England College Saturday after defeating the Pilgrims 3-1. 

How it Happened 

• The Beacons found themselves down halfway through the first period but found the equalizer less than 2 minutes later thanks to Erin Duffy's first goal of the season and of her career. 

• Jenna Fitzsimons gave the Beacons the lead in the first at the 15:59 mark. 

• The second was scoreless. In the third Katie Wilbert added the insurance goal on the power play – assisted by Margeaux Butters and Kristen Briggs – to finish the game 3-1. 

• Ginny Curello finished the game with 6 saves. 

Up Next 

The Beacons remain on the road next weekend when they travel to Salem State University for 2 against the Vikings.
