Springfield, MA (Oct. 3, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons finished their non-conference slate with a 4-3 win over Western New England University Thursday. 

Doubles 

In #1 Doubles Ayonna Stuppard and Elena Albano defeated Sydney Shepard and Emma Miller 6-2. In #2 Doubles, Sandra Watson saw her return to competitive action after suffering an injury earlier in the year. Watson paired with Kaya-Lilliana Rutkowski took down Kayla Ledoux and Yasmine Giacalone 6-2 as well.  

Singles 

Lydia Chan was matched against Emma Miller in the top spot and won her match 7-5, 6-2. In the 2nd spot, Stuppard faced off against Catie Seklecki winning 6-1, 6-4. Rounding out the wins for the Beacons in singles was Albano in the third position where she defeated Malina Dinis 6-3, 6-1.

The Beacons host Rhode Island College in LEC action at the Weymouth Club at 6pm for Senior Day.
