DARTMOUTH, MA (October 2nd, 2024) Wednesday evening's match against had the UMass Boston Beacons traveling to UMass Dartmouth being hosted by the Corsairs, as the Beacon's squeaked by with a narrow win over the Corsairs with a final score of two goals to one.

How It Happened:

The opening score of the match came in the second half, just after sixty minutes into the contest. UMass Boston was first on the board with senior defensemen Diego Gisholt (Tijuana, Mexico) providing service to sophomore forward John Arruda (Espirito Santo, Brazil).

Nearly twenty minutes later, the Beacon's put another ball in the back of the Corsairs net. Sophomore midfielder Patrick Garcia (Brookline , MA) found twine off an assist by senior Logan Erickson-Potter (Swansea, MA).

Outside of the shooting statistics, the match was littered with fouling from both squads. Garcia and Gisholt both received a booking, however, the Corsairs eclipsed this mark with 10 fouls and three yellow cards of their own (Nate Cordeiro -New Bedford, MA, Kyle Rhines -Farmington, NH, & Nick Majoory -Somerset, MA). (All yellows took place between the 65th minute to the 87th minute.)
