MILTON, Mass. - UMass Boston Women's Soccer found themselves locked into a defensive stalemate against Curry College on Tuesday afternoon. With both team's struggling to create opportunities in the late goings of the match, they finished the game in a 1-1 draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tuesday's defensive battle started with a bang on offense for the Beacons. Just 21 minutes into the match
Kaylee Haynes got things started with the 20th goal of her career. The forward has been moving her way up the UMass Boston leaderboard and now holds sole possession of seventh place in career goals scored.Â
Following the Haynes goal, both offenses went silent.
Isabella O'Connell faced just four shots on goal during the game, while the offense only wagered two more after the opening score.
After 60 minutes of shutout play by the Beacons, the defense finally gave way to Avery Ewell's first career goal. The score knotted the game at 1-1 with 30 minutes left to play.
The final half hour of play saw just one shot on goal, which was stopped by O'Connell before it could reach the net. The two defenses continued to stand tall, finishing the game in a 1-1 tie.
