Men's Ice Hockey Shutout on Road Versus Elmira College

PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – UMass Boston Men's Ice Hockey fell to Elmira College on the road for their second consecutive loss of the weekend, 4-0, dropping to 6-8-0 in conference play. With New England College's loss on Saturday afternoon, the Beacons still remain tied with 19 points alongside New England College while Skidmore College has 22 points with four games remaining in the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Three first-period goals from sophomore forward Kerfalla Toure along with senior forwards Jake Russo and Chance Gorman would be enough for the Soaring Eagles to defeat the Beacons on Saturday afternoon as sophomore goalie Kyle Curtin shutout UMass Boston, making 42 saves across three periods.

Junior Janis Vizbelis tacked on a fourth goal for Elmira College in the second period on the power play, extending the Soaring Eagles lead to four goals, 4-0, downing UMass Boston for the second time this year.

In net, sophomore goalies Darius Bell and Liam Murray split time in net with Bell playing the first two periods, making 14 saves on 18 shots while Murray stopped eight shots on eight attempts in the third and final period.
