McKayla Geraghty led the Beacons offense with six kills as volleyball dropped their 2022 season opener by the final of 3-0 to SUNY Brockport on day one of the 17
th Annual Susquehanna University River Hawk Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beacons came out swinging in the opening frame, but it was Brockport who managed to slip past UMB with a 25-22 decision. Brockport then posted a 25-10 win to take a 2-0 lead. The Beacons looked to extend the match in the third, but Brockport was able to seal the win with a 25-19 victory.
Taryn Broughal led UMB with a .250 hitting percentage and finished second with five kills.
Melina Sullivan notched 12 assists, while
Ally Dean put-up 10 digs.
Toni Guerra recorded two of the Beacons six aces.
Andrea Coyle led Brockport with 10 kills, while as a team they hit .273. Ashley Allen and Kerri McHale combined for 27 assists respectively.
BY THE NUMBERS
