SELINSGROVE, Pa. – McKayla Geraghty led the Beacons offense with six kills as volleyball dropped their 2022 season opener by the final of 3-0 to SUNY Brockport on day one of the 17^th Annual Susquehanna University River Hawk Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beacons came out swinging in the opening frame, but it was Brockport who managed to slip past UMB with a 25-22 decision. Brockport then posted a 25-10 win to take a 2-0 lead. The Beacons looked to extend the match in the third, but Brockport was able to seal the win with a 25-19 victory.

Taryn Broughal led UMB with a .250 hitting percentage and finished second with five kills.

Melina Sullivan notched 12 assists, while Ally Dean put-up 10 digs. Toni Guerra recorded two of the Beacons six aces.

Andrea Coyle led Brockport with 10 kills, while as a team they hit .273. Ashley Allen and Kerri McHale combined for 27 assists respectively.
