th Annual Susquehanna University River Hawk Classic, volleyball was handed a pair of losses, first falling to the 22
nd ranked River Hawks, before falling in their final match to Chatham University Saturday afternoon at O.W. Houts Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Looking to pull-off the upset against the ranked River Hawks, the Beacons played two close sets before falling 25-22, 25-21, and 25-12. In the second match, Chatham cruised in the first set taking a 25-8 decision. They then slipped past UMB in the second with a 25-23 decision. In the final frame, the two teams battled back-and-forth with Chatham taking a 25-23 victory.
Against Susquehanna,
Livia Trindade led the Beacons with a season-high eight kills.
Melina Sullivan put-up six assists, while
Ally Dean continued her strong play in the back row with nine digs.
As a team, the River Hawks hit .302, finishing in double figures in kills in all three sets.
Against Chatham,
Taryn Broughal put down six kills and had a season-high .500 hitting percentage. Trindade put-up four kills to close out her weekend.
Amelia Devlin registered 12 assists and had a pair of aces. Dean carried the Beacons defensive effort with 14 digs, while
Colbie Atlas finished with four block assists.
BY THE NUMBERS
