BOSTON, Mass. - The UMass Boston men's tennis team fell to visiting Emerson College by a final count of 7-2 Friday afternoon at the Boston College High School Tennis Courts. The Beacons has a pair of singles wins on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions took each of the three doubles points to jump out to a commanding lead heading into single play. The Beacons nearly pulled out a win at No. 3 doubles, where the tandem of David Malone and junior
Rez Yuspi (Somerville, Mass.) fell to Cooper Sherman and Daniel Kennedy 8-7 (10-8).
Yuspi went on the post a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kennedy at No. 5 singles to get UMass Boston on the board. Senior
Alexander Comerchero (Brookline, Mass.) earned the point at No. 3 singles, he led the third set 5-1 when Ryu Watanabe was forced to retire from the match. They exchanged 6-4 wins in the opening two sets.

The Beacons will look to bounce back next Saturday, March 26, when the host Clark University in a non-conference match slated to begin at noon.
