HOW IT HAPPENED

With just over a minute left, Castleton pulled their goaltender as they moved the puck into the offensive zone. Harris and Emery Bonner would each fire-off a shot both of which were blocked. Harris would get the game-clinching shot with 11 ticks on the clock. Courtney Gauthier assisted on the play to give the Spartans three points in the conference standings.

Harris got the Spartans on the scoreboard at the midway point of the first period. Rachael Burum (Marshfield, Mass.) would counter the Harris goal in the second as she recorded her fifth goal of the season on the power-play. Eight minutes later Gauthier pushed the Spartans back in front with a power-play goal to make it 3-2 heading into the third period.

Jane Ann Drill (Madison, Wis.), who assisted on the Burum goal tied the contest at 2-2 at 11:39 of the third period on the power play.

Victoria Kennedy (Winthrop, Mass.) made 33 saves for the Beacons, while Castleton's Kirsten DiCicco finished with 35 stops including 19 in the second period.
