Cadets hand Beacons 10-0 NEHC loss

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The 11th ranked Cadets of Norwich University cruised to their first New England Hockey Conference win of the season as they handed women's hockey a 10-0 loss Saturday afternoon at Kreitzberg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The host Cadets, who were off yesterday due to a postponement with Johnson & Wales University, used those fresh legs to blow past the Beacons.

Norwich outshot the Beacons 45-8 in shots on goal, and scored twice in the first, and four times in the second and third periods.

Victoria Kennedy made 22 stops in the loss, while Leah Bosch closed out the contest with 13 saves all in the third period.

Leocadia Clark registered eight stops to earn the shutout victory.

  • UMB was charged with eight penalties and surrendered three power-play goals

WHO'S NEXT
The Beacons will make their 2022-23 home debut on Friday when they host Salem State University at 6 p.m.
