PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – A balanced offense lifted the fourth-ranked Soaring Eagles of Elmira College to a 5-0 New England Hockey Conference win over women's hockey Friday evening at the Murray Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Holley Riva picked-up a pair of goals in the conference decision for the Soaring Eagles.
Between the pipes
Victoria Kennedy registered a season-high 40 saves, including 17 stops in the second.
Riva broke the scoreless tie in the 13
th minute. Claire Meeder added to the lead three minutes later as the Soaring Eagles went into the first intermission with the two goal advantage.
The second period, Kennedy held strong despite allowing the one goal from Riva.
MK Boyle and Claire Elfring each added a goal in the third period to seal the win.
BY THE NUMBERS
- On the night the Beacons finished 0-for-5 on the power-play
- Elmira College also went 0-for-5 on the power play, but there fifth goal was scored shorthanded
