HOW IT HAPPENED

The junior duo of Lydia Chan and Yana Semerly continue to dominate on the court together as a #1 Doubles team, winning 8-0 over senior duo Regina Marchese and Makayla Boisvert to kick off the afternoon.

Sophomore duo Elena Albano and Ayonna Stuppard remained undefeated as a double's duo in the #2 Doubles as they took down freshman Stella Forte and senior Megan Brier, 8-2, to move to 5-0 on the season as a pairing.

Senior Lia Vassiliadis and freshman Ayra Shaikh teamed up in the #3 Doubles again, winning in convincing fashion, 8-3, over freshman Madelyn Nonni and junior Camille Jackson to give the Beacons a 3-0 lead after doubles.

Capping off an impressive performance to her day, Albano swept through Brier, 6-0, in two sets of the #3 Singles to move to 2-0 on the day and 6-1 on the year in singles play.

Finishing soon after her, Shaikh took her #2 Singles match against Boisvert with ease, 6-1 and 6-0, helping UMass Boston clinch the team victory with five wins already.

The sweep would be rounded out by Vassiliadis defeating Nonni 6-2 and 6-0 in the #5 Singles, Semerly taking down Marchese 6-1 and 6-0 in the #1 Singles, Stuppard over Forte in the #4 Singles 6-0 and 6-3, and junior Skylar Robles closing out the day with back-to-back 6-4 set victories to give the Beacons the 9-0 victory.
