BOSTON, Mass. – A 4-0 run over the final 25 minutes of regulation lifted women's hockey to an impressive 7-3 New England Hockey Conference win over Salem State University Friday afternoon at the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Six different players found the back of the net for the Beacons, including first-timer
Allie Reifler (Binghamton, N.Y.).
Corin Trejchel (Pittsburgh, Pa.) got UMB on the scoreboard in the first period, with a long-range shot. Eleven minutes later, Salem State evened the score at 1-1 on a power-play.
The Beacons special teams stepped-up in the second with the power-play making it 2-1, while
Liz Kramp (Farmington Hills, Mich.) registered a shorthanded goal to give UMB a 3-1 advantage at the time.
Unfortunately, any UMB momentum was cancelled out as Salem State registered back-to-back goals to even the score at 3-3.
Katie Leffler (Key Largo, Fla.) gave the Beacons a late 4-3 lead as she powered the puck past Hannah Aveni.
The Beacons would seal the victory in a five minute span in the final stanza, with
Katie Wilbert (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Reifler, and Leffler each finding the back of the net.
Victoria Kennedy (Winthrop, Mass.) picked-up the win after making just six saves.
Romy Thibeault (Dallas, Texas) made her Edward T. Barry Ice Rink debut in the second, and tallied seven stops.
