HOW IT HAPPENED

Julia Masotta had the game-winning goal for the Cadets, who last week dropped their first conference game since 2017. Masotta's clinching goal was scored in the fourth minute of the second stanza, while Ann-Frederique Guay got Norwich on the scoreboard at the 2:39 mark of the second.

The Beacons absolutely dominated the Cadets offensively as they outshot Norwich 33-28, which included a 15-5 barrage in the opening period.

Ana Gustafson (Clarkston, Mich.) cut Norwich's lead in half early in the third period. She hit perfect shot off of a pass from Katie Leffler (Key Largo, Fla.). Also assisting on the play was Margeaux Butters (Snohomish, Wash.), who flicked the puck up and out of the zone off the boards where she hit Leffler on an indirect pass.

Victoria Kennedy (Winthrop, Mass.) made 26 saves in the loss, while Leocadia Clark posted 32 stops to improve to 5-0 on the season.
