NEW LONDON, Conn. – A Camille Phelan goal at the 7:21 mark of the third period lifted Connecticut College to a 3-2 non-conference victory over women's ice hockey Tuesday evening at Dayton Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Phelan scored the game-winner for the Camels off of a Morgan Bronstein assist. She also had an assist in the non-conference victory.
Connecticut College scored the first two goals of the contest, with Kiley Smith and Cecily Hetzel each finding the back of the net.
The Beacons started their comeback bid early in the second period, when
Kelsey Ryan (Burlington, Mass.) made it a one-goal affair at the 6:24 mark. Six minutes later
Katie Wilbert (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tied the game at 2-2 with her second goal of the season.
The two Beacons goals would come on just six shots in the second stanza. Connecticut College held a 49-15 advantage in shots on goal, which included 20 in the first period.
Victoria Kennedy (Winthrop, Mass.) was sensation between the pipes making a career-high 46 saves in the tough one-goal loss.
Abby Wieczorek finished with 13 saves to earn her first win of the season.
