BOSTON, Mass. – A goal from JR Barone along with a pair of empty net goals in the final minute lifted Plymouth State University to a 4-1 non-conference win over men's hockey Tuesday evening at the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Barone ended a 1-1 draw in the second minute of the third period to give the Panthers their first lead of the night. Jeromey Lancourt and Peter Laviolette each scored the final two goals of the contest to seal Plymouth State's first win over the Beacons.
Ryan Bogan (Brick, N.J.) ended the scoreless draw at the 11:41 mark of the first period, as the Beacons looked to earn their third straight win all-time against the Panthers. Bogan's goal was the first of the year for the defenseman and the second of his career.
UMB managed to hold their slim lead through the remainder of the first period and through the first seven and a half minutes of the second. Niks Krollis scored the than equalizer, which also gave all the momentum to the Panthers.
Connor McAnanama (Agawam, Mass.) made 27 saves in the contest, while Plymouth State's Kalle Andersson finished with 28 stops.
