BOSTON, Mass. – A late 16-4 run in the second half pushed men's basketball to their first Little East Conference win of the season as they defeated WestConn by the final of 69-63 Tuesday evening at the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Playing a crucial part of the Beacons late surge was
Bobby Joy (Harwich, Mass.) and
Stephen DiGregorio (Marlborough, Mass.) who accounted for 15 of the 16 points. Of his 13 points in the win, DiGregorio scored three 3-pointers during that crucial second-half stretch. Joy came off the bench to add six of his nine points in the second half surge.
Charlie Mitchell (Boston, Mass.) matched the team-high which 13 points of-his-own.
Charles Mitchell (Boston, Mass.) finished with 11 points, and handed out a game-high seven assists. Malike Brooms (Roxbury, Mass.) dropped in a career-high 11 points in the LEC victory, as he had three 3-pointers.
Malik Lorquet (Sharon, Mass.) dominated the glass with a game-high 13 rebounds, five of which came on the offensive side of the floor. The Beacons big-man also had nine points and four blocked shots.
Matthew Turner led all players with 23 points on 10-of-20 shooting. He was 3-for-6 from behind the arc and also had a pair of steals for WestConn.
