BOSTON, Mass. – Six different players recorded at-least one goal to lift men's hockey to a 9-3 New England Hockey Conference win over the University Southern Maine Friday evening at the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beacons total team effort culminated one of their most impressive victories of the young season. UMB dominated the offensive zone all night as they outshot the Huskies 61-26. The Beacons registered three goals in the first, two in the second, and four in the third to complete the one-sided victory.
Ryan Rowland (Manahawkin, N.J.) broke the scoreless draw just six minutes into Friday night's affair on an unassisted play.
Chris Peters (Fairport, N.Y.) then added his first of two goals in the first period. The Huskies cut the deficit in half with a goal from Zach Desmarais, but it did not last long as Peters made it a two-goal contest less than two minutes later.
The second period, saw the Huskies strike first, but were countered by back-to-back goals form
Andy Walker (Detroit, Mich.) and
Gino Carabelli (Shelby Township, Mich.). USM scored the last goal of the second, with both Husky goals coming from Brendan Dowler.
Trailing 5-3, USM looked to make a push in the third period, but were taken out of the contest early with the Beacons scoring two goals in the first 7:49. Carabelli added his second goal of the night, while
Joe Petruzzella (Scottsdale, Ariz.) scored his first of what would be a two goal third for the junior.
Jeffrey Skinner (Katy, Texas) posted his second goal of the young season to complete 4-0 third period for UMB.
Southern Maine's Anthony D'Aloisio did everything in his power to neutralize the Beacons relentless offense with an impressive 45 saves. Kyle Penton closed out the final 12 minutes of the third and made seven stops, while allowing the final two UMB goals.
Sam Best (Woburn, Mass.) registered 23 stops to earn his third win of the campaign.
