BOSTON, MA - The University of Massachusetts Boston women's tennis team was defeated by visiting Plymouth State University, 6-3, today in a Little East Conference match played on the Boston College High School courts. The Beacons fall to 5-5 overall and 1-5 in LEC play, while the Panthers improve to 4-7 and 3-3.

UMass Boston will be in action again on Saturday, October 11 when it travels to Gorham, ME to take on Little East Conference foe University of Southern Maine at 1:00 p.m., while Plymouth State goes to Danbury, CT to play LEC opponent Western Connecticut State University on October 11 at 12:00 p.m.
