Kaitlyn “KMO” Morse returns to her alma mater for her sixth season as an assistant coach in 2026. The Beacons earned Regular Season Champions in 2024, hosting the Little East Conference Tournament on the peninsula for the first time in history. UMass Boston earned its third Little East Conference Tournament Championship in 2025; Morse earned her third championship as a coach.  

Morse was a standout middle infielder for UMass Boston during her four seasons (2013-17) and finished her career by captaining the Beacons to their first-ever Little East Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships in 2017. As a junior, Morse was named a First Team All-Conference honoree at second base, after spending her first two collegiate seasons as the team's starting shortstop.  
 
She still ranks as one of the top players in program history in many statistical categories. Morse sits second in runs scored (98) and assists (280), third in games played (151), tied for third in hits (143) and fourth in walks (56). 
 
After finishing her career, Morse began her coaching career at Wentworth Institute of Technology for the 2018 spring.  
 
She graduated UMass Boston in 2017 with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Early Intervention.
