Naveen Thiruvazhi joined the UMass Boston Volleyball program as a volunteer assistant coach in the Spring of 2025, adding over a decade of playing experience to the role.

Dedicated to contributing to the team's success, Thiruvazhi began his coaching journey in the summer of 2025 at the Boston Hurricanes Nine-Man Volleyball Club, coaching the Under 18 positional clinics with a focus on jump approach and arm swing technique. He is passionate about player development and continuing his growth and others within the sport.

Thiruvazhi earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from UMass Amherst in 2020. He currently works as a Business Analyst, a role that sharpens the strategic and problem-solving skills he brings to the bench.
