UMass Boston

Alex Loyer is in his third season as the assistant men’s tennis coach at UMass Boston.  A former two-year member of the UMB men’s tennis team, Loyer joined the coaching ranks in the summer of 2014.
 
While with the Beacons, Loyer was named a two-time Little East Conference First Team selection.  He was also named Most Valuable Player at the 2013 Little East Conference tournament after leading UMB to their first tournament title in over 20 years.
 
When not working with the Beacons, Loyer serves as the Tennis Director at the Chelmsford Swim and Tennis Club.  He has also worked at a variety of camps throughout New England and continues to teach private lessons. Alex is currently pursuing his Masters in Education at UMass Boston.
