UMass Boston

Ryan McDermott enters his fifth season with the UMass Boston baseball program. 

A 2011 graduate of Little East conference opponent UMass Dartmouth, McDermott received his master's degree in Business Administration from UMass Boston in 2016.
 
Prior to his arrival on the UMB campus, McDermott has coached at the legion and AAU levels. He is currently serving as the 18-u coach for Antonelli Baseball in Middleton, MA. 

As a player, McDermott was a four-year starting shortstop and senior captain at UMass Dartmouth. He was a career .311 hitter and totaled 186 hits in 147 career games. 

Currently McDermott works in cybersecurity sales for Carbon Black. He earned his bachelors degree in Finance from UMass Dartmouth.
