Prior to his time at Newbury College, Fogel spent four years as assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at Curry College in Milton, Mass. Fogel made an immediate impact as a member of the Colonels coaching staff as he helped the program to a 24-15 record and the 2015 Commonwealth Coast Conference championship. Throughout his time with Colonels, Fogel played an essential role in recruiting and in player development as Curry landed 10 players on All-CCC teams.

Fogel also coaches with the Garciaparra Baseball Group out of RBI Baseball Academy (Foxboro, MA) and is the head coach of the 18U GBG Hawks Northeast in the summer.

Prior to relocating to the Boston area, Fogel spent several seasons coaching at the high school level where he coached several players who went on to play at the collegiate and professional levels.

A native of Southern California, Fogel was a former standout at Saugus High School (Santa Clarita, CA.) as an All-League performer and team Most Valuable Player. Following a Junior College stint at College of the Canyons (JUCO) Fogel accepted a scholarship to attend NCAA Division II Azusa Pacific University. While with the Cougars, Fogel had a stellar two year career, and was a valuable member of teams that were ranked in the top-25 in the nation.
