Boston, MA (Sept. 2, 2025) — The UMass Boston women's tennis team opened their 2025 campaign in dominant fashion, shutting out the University of Suffolk Rams 7-0 at the BC High Tennis Courts.
Doubles
The Beacons came out strong, sweeping all three doubles matches to take the early lead.
Singles
UMass Boston carried their momentum into singles play, winning all six matches.

#2 Singles: Sandra Watson was the first off the court with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 win over Nia Bebb.

#4 Singles: Althea Bradley followed closely behind, winning 6-0, 6-2.

#1 Singles: Zainab Patel defeated Thu Nguyen 6-2, 6-0.

#3 Singles: Tatiana Malone took down Brianna Nelson 6-4, 6-2.

#5 Singles: Maya Rubenstein earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Julia Lanczycki.

#6 Singles: In the closest match of the day, Shreya Saravana Rakshana bounced back from a first-set loss to beat Elene Nishianidze 4-6, 6-3, 10-5, completing the Beacons' 7-0 sweep.
