Boston, MA (Feb. 22, 2025) --- The UMass Boston Beacons women's ice hockey team ended their season in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) quarterfinals against William Smith College by a score of 4-1 Saturday night. 

How it Happened 

The Beacons were the first to find the back of the net when Liz Kramp, assisted by Allie Reifler and Emerson Homa, buried her shot at the 6:45 mark of the second period for her 4th goal of the season. The Herons would find the equalizer before the end of the period thanks to a goal by Madeline Diglio.  

Despite 21 total shots on net, the Beacons wouldn't score again. The goal by Mackenzie O'Neil, scored early in the third, would be the game winning goal.
