Boston, MA (Feb. 22, 2025) --- The UMass Boston men's ice hockey team were the first and last to score Saturday afternoon, but weren't able to pull out the win, falling to the Huskies by a score of 5-4.Â
How it HappenedÂ
The Beacons came out firing with Kevin Sadovski getting the first of the game just 2:33 into the first period on the powerplay. Jazz Krivtsov would double the lead a little over a minute later thanks to an assist by Jude Kurtas, his second of the game. The Huskies would rally getting their first off their first powerplay of the game. Zach Desmarais scored shorthanded for the Huskies before Marcus Torgner gave the Huskies the lead on the man up. Â
Kolye Bankauskas leveled it up in the second, assisted by Tyler Drummond and Michael Lynch, but the Huskies regained the lead before the end of the second off a shot by John Hagan. Â
The Huskies would capitalize a fifth time compliments of Finn Ernsjöö in the third. Chris Repmann pulled the Beacons back within one, but UMass Boston ran out of time before they could notch the equalizer.Â
