Boston, MA (Feb. 13, 2025) --- The UMass Boston women's ice hockey team will close out their regular season at home against the Herons of William Smith College. The Beacons currently sit in fifth place in the NEHC standings, one spot behind William Smith who hold the fourth and final position to host NEHC post season play. Beacons 

• The Beacons are coming off a 3-2 victory over the University of Southern Maine. Graduate student, Katie Wilbert scored the game winning goal on the power play in the third period, her fourth goal and third game winning goal of the season. 

• First year, Cassidy Morrison leads the team in goals with six, picking up two in her last four games. 

• Gianna Skrelja and Margeaux Butters are tied with the team lead in assists with five on the season.  

• Butters leads the team in blocked shots with 58. 

Herons 

• The Herons of William Smith lost their last game against Salve Regina, splitting their weekend series against the Seahawks. 

• Kayla Ketchabaw leads the team with 15 points and 10 assists. 

• Mackenzie O'Neil holds the team lead in goals this season with six. 

• Erin Murray has seen most of the time in net for the Herons, holding a .947 save percentage and 1.39 GAA.
