Boston, MA (Jan. 9, 2025) --- The UMass Boston Beacons women's ice hockey team returns to NEHC competition when they host the Seahawks of Salve Regina University Friday and Saturday. 

The Basics 

Game 1: Friday, January 10th at 6pm | Edward T. Barry Ice Rink 

Game 2: Saturday, January 11th at 3pm | Edward T. Barry Ice Rink 

Beacons: 7-6-0 (Overall), 6-0-0 (Conference) 

Seahawks: 6-6-0 (Overall), 4-2-0 (Conference) 

Beacons 

• The Beacons are undefeated in conference play and sit in second place in the NEHC standings, just behind Elmira who is two games ahead. 

• The Beacons are currently on a four-game losing streak and will look to right the ship against the Seahawks. In their last four games, the Beacons were outscored 10-2; however, what the stats don't show is how the Beacons held the lead against #2 Bowdoin College for much of the game before losing 4-2. 

• The Beacons have a balanced attack with 5 different players scoring 3 goals on the season. 

• Veronika Hadamovsky and Leah Bosch have split the majority of time in net with Hadamovsky coming off a career high 46 saves against Wesleyan University. 

Seahawks 

• Salve Regina sits in 4th in the NEHC standings just behind Norwich. 

• Salve is coming off a 4-0 win over Anna Maria College, in that game Ashtyn Bringardner scored the first two of the game. 

• Bringardner leads the team in goals with 6 and is tied for the team lead in points with Emily Wroblewski with 9. 

• Taylor Hannafan (2.23 GAA, .917%) and Sydney Baxter (2.20 GAA, .916%) have seen most of the time in net for the Seahawks 

Series History 

• The last matchup took place in 2018 and saw the Beacons come away with the 2-1 victory. The Beacons hold a 9-1 advantage over the Seahawks in their last 10 meetings.
